What began as a simple sewing class around a dining room table in Kingwood, Texas, is now blossoming into a nationwide movement to empower children through creativity. The Creativity Shell, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching children practical skills through creative arts, is proud to announce the launch of its newest national initiative—Creativity Hour.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit? If yes, this is the perfect class for you! Students will begin by learning the basics of knitting. By the end of the semester, we hope our skills will be advanced enough to make some fun accessories!

This class is great for children and parents/guardians who are learning how to sew and/or are still working on some of the fundamental skills AND would like to sew together!

This is a fun class where each week, we bring a new animal/critter to class and the students make an inspiration project based on the animal/critter! This class involves a variety of mediums such as sewing, crafting and art.

Cooking classes at the Creativity Shell are designed to teach children to create with food! Students in this class learn about nutrition, they learn to cut food, prepare food, food safety, measure, bake and more!

Pottery/Ceramics, Drawing, Painting... are only a few of the art classes taught to children as young as 3 years old at the Creativity Shell!
